Queen's Young Leaders elected to Commonwealth Youth Council

Two Queen’s Young Leaders have been elected to the Commonwealth Youth Council – the official voice of more than 1.2 billion young people across the Commonwealth.

Namibia’s Sharonice Busch was elected as the Regional Representative for Africa and Europe, while Christina JK Giwe was elected to represent the Pacific.

In her manifesto, Sharonice says, “I believe that the World’s greatest assets are its people. And that genuine leadership should be based on the principles of being people-centred and action driven. Only then will we move the Commonwealth forward.”

Christine pledged to “work closely with all governments, stakeholders, donors and young people to ensure that the vast potential of young people is utilised”.
