Tracey Bovingdon

Tracey has an impressive business track record. She held senior and key positions within the corporate world, set up innovative brands and concepts, and has founded three successful independent businesses to date.

In 2003, she founded Strictly Education Ltd, an outsourcing specialist that provided support services that included payroll, finance, human resources (HR) and facilities management to schools. Through a combination of organic growth and targeted acquisitions, Strictly Education  became the leading provider of administration outsourcing for the education sector in the UK.

In February 2007, the entire business was successfully sold to Bond Plc for £2.85 million and Tracey was retained as Managing Director to oversee the transition phase. In the year following acquisition, the company exceeded all its performance targets and continues its success to date.

As a result, Tracey is no stranger to the necessary disciplines required to develop and lead a growing business.

In 2007, she moved to the Middle East, spending time in both Bahrain and Oman, where the idea for Tea Monkey was born. Tea Monkey is an innovative approach that challenges the dominance of high street coffee retailers by providing a tea-centric consumer offer.

Tracey works with the University of Cambridge as a tutor on the Leading Change online course for the Queens Young Leaders Programme. She mentors and coaches social entrepreneurs from around the Commonwealth and is a Trustee on the Board of Mayday Trust – dealing with life transitions for acute homelessness and rehabilitating offenders.

As part of her new enterprise Mind Your Own Business, she is piloting a Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) for disadvantaged students at Milton Keynes Academy, UK.
