Shamila Keyani has over nine years of experience in the development sector nationally and internationally.
As Assistant Programme Manager at Right To Play she successfully managed numerous projects with a focus on education, peace-building and life skills development in eight districts of Pakistan.
These programmes positively impacted the lives of more than 170,000 children – mostly girls.
Shamila's passion for using technology for social good led her to co-found Jaroka Tele-Healthcare. This innovative project uses web and mobile-based technology to extend affordable, accessible and quality healthcare to rural and disaster-hit communities in Pakistan.
The project is being successfully implemented and replicated using Software As Service (SAAS) in three districts of Pakistan including Punjab, Sindh and KP. More than 150,000 patients are treated under this venture.
Shamila is particularly interested in e-health, m-health and analytics. She has won many awards including Paragon Fellowship, Atlas Service Corps Fellowship, TedMed Frontline scholar, Women Deliver scholarship and ISIF Asia Awards as recognition to her work.
Her expertise is vested in startups, project management, financial management, communication and reporting.
