Ian Royer is Chief Storyteller and Chief Creative Officer at Anansi Tales Marketing. He is a young entrepreneur, with over ten years experience in marketing, advertising, new media, and business development. He has also been trained in the art of diplomacy and protocol, through his 16 years of working experience with various arms of the United Nations.
Ian has mentored young people for close to ten years with the Rotary Club of Central Port of Spain. He is skilled at advocacy, and has a proven track record in youth development.
He is currently one of two representatives for the Caribbean on the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) Youth Advisory Forum. In 2016, he was a Civil Society representative to the United Nations General Assembly High Level Meeting on HIV/AIDS.
Over the years, Ian's work with the UN has also included involvement with:
- the Campaign to End AIDS Youth
- the Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS
- United Nations Global Young Leadership Network
- United Nations Association of Trinidad and Tobago
His achievements have been recognised by awards from the Rotary Club International, American Advertising Federation, The Caribbean Advertising Federation, and the Advertising Agency Association of Trinidad and Tobago. Ian has given two Tedx talks as well.
