Veronica Ngum Ndi

Veronica Ngum Ndi is a woman with a disability and the Founder of the Community Association for Vulnerable Persons (CAVP). CAVP improves the life quality of marginalised and vulnerable people, especially women and girls in Santa subdivision in the North West Region of Cameroon.

Veronica also works as the Programme Manager at the Co-ordinating Unit of Associations of Persons with Disabilities (CUAPWD). An expert in the field of disability with more than nine years of experience, Veronica is:

  • a 2016-2017 UN-Women Empower Women Champion for Change
  • the Opportunities Knock Your Door (OKYD) City Ambassador to Bamenda for the One Million Impacts Campaign
  • President of Women with Disabilities North West Region Cameroon
  • and by the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women in 2018-2019.

Her experience includes organising and facilitating seminars and workshops, advocacy on rights and inclusion for people with disabilities, and the empowerment of women and girls. She has particular expertise on disability in the developing world.
