Solomon leads the legal team at TSYS International. He is a leading General Counsel ranked in the legal 500 as well as the 2016 FT legal rankings.
In January 2016 Solomon was listed in The Lawyer Hot 100 for 2016. Solomon has received a number of industry citations including Lawyer of the Year, General Counsel of the Year and Innovative GC.
He was a nominee at the Diversity Awards and presents and speaks regularly on the circuit, lecturing in the areas of business and law. He has worked on some of Europe’s largest outsourcing contracts in financial services and regulatory affairs.
Following a partnership in private practice, he held senior roles in industry including a stint as Global Switch General Counsel. Solomon was appointed to the Law Society’s Company Law Committee in 2011 and sits on several advisory boards including for a non-profit organisation.
In 2014, he was invited to join the Westminster Policy Forum on Legal Education and Training in the UK as well as leading the College of Law’s consultation panel on training for in-house lawyers.
Solomon read law and international relations at the University of Cambridge. He holds an MBA as well as a doctorate in management and law.
He speaks and writes regularly about regulatory matters in the financial services sector and has been influential commentator on subjects like data protection and strategic management. He has featured in a number of panels on diversity and inclusions matters, speaking extensively during Black History Month in the UK.
