Seth Christopher Yaw Appiah

Seth Christopher Yaw Appiah is a Research Fellow studying for a PhD in Medical Research and International Health at the Ludwig Maxmillian University (LMU), Munich, Germany.

Seth graduated with an MPhil in Medical Sociology and was a Graduate Research Assistant at the Department of Sociology and Social Work, Faculty of Social Sciences, at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana.

He also earned his undergraduate degree in Sociology and Social Work from the Department of Sociology and Social Work, Faculty of Social Sciences at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

He has published 17 research papers in national and international academic journals.

Seth is a Save the Children Super Research Fellow 2015. His research interests include:

  • medical sociology
  • adolescent and reproductive health
  • issues related to HIV/AIDS and maternal and child health
  • youth development
  • fashion
  • and sustainable procurement.
