Seren pioneered the first scientific study on millennial leadership worldwide as a cross-continental study in doctoral form at the University of Notre Dame Australia, Utrecht University and Varna University of Management in collaboration with various stakeholders.
She sheds light on a conscious and empowered proportion of youth leaders within the millennial generation and brings together theory and practice, as well as science and society.
Seren is the originator and Co-founder of the Synergized Earth Network (SEN). SEN is a global value-driven network uniting leaders across generations to tackle the most pressing challenges of our time. Based on her evidence-based work, Seren is also the initiator of Millennial Motion: The Next Generation of Leadership that addresses the role of young people in global change processes.
Previously she co-founded the Lost Faces Foundation that works on human rights and particularly youth empowerment and gender equality. She designed educational curricula on the right of self-determination and self-development of young people. She has also made television documentaries about violations of human rights, like honour-related violence.
Seren has been involved in a wide range of global leadership programmes across 28 countries and six continents. She is closely engaged with youth leaders worldwide.
Among the awards she has won, Seren:
- was listed as one of the 100 forerunners and most sustainable youth leaders in the Netherlands in the DJ100 list
- and made the Honorary Global Ambassador of Sustainable Development Leadership of the Commonwealth Science and Technology of Academic Research (C-STAR) Institute.
