Dr Rosmond Adams is the Head of Health Information, Communicable Disease and Emergency Response at the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA).
CARPHA is the new single regional public health agency for the Caribbean. The agency is the Caribbean Region’s collective response to strengthening and re-orienting the health system approach so that the region is equipped to address the changing nature of public health challenges.
Rosmond is currently responsible for managing Health Information and Data Analysis (HDA). He leads on planning and developing policies and strategies for turning data into information to enhance public health intelligence for CARPHA, its member countries and other partners.
He is also responsible for overseeing CARPHA’s response to communicable disease outbreaks and its public health response during natural disasters.
Before this, Rosmond served as the National Epidemiologist in the Ministry of Health, St Vincent and the Grenadines, where he was responsible for epidemiological and health services research.
Rosmond has eight years of combined experience working in the health field with training both at clinical and at policy and management level in public health. He is also a bioethicist with extensive knowledge and experience of healthcare systems in the Caribbean region and developing countries.
