Dr Nsikak-Abasi Etim is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension, University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. He teaches Agricultural, Environmental and Resource Economics
He obtained a bachelors in Agriculture with First Class Honours and was the best graduating student in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension, University of Uyo, Nigeria in 1999.
He also has a masters in Agricultural Economics from University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and a PhD in Resource and Environmental Economics from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Nigeria.
Nsikak-Abasi's research interest is development and resource economics with a focus on poverty and efficiency issues in the context of production and environment. He has published over 70 articles on these areas in reputable national and international journals.
Nsikak-Abasi has attended several conferences in many countries including Finland, United Arab Emirates, Belgium, Ghana, South Africa, among others. He is a member of many professional bodies including the International Society for Development and Sustainability in Japan.
