Linda Bembatoum is a freelance international development consultant with Third Sector Development Solutions (TSDS) which she set up in September 2013. She has 15 years experience working in not-for-profit and social entrepreneurship spaces.
As the Founder of TSDS, Linda has facilitated training workshops on sourcing for grants and grant writing for social entrepreneurs and non-governmental organisation (NGO) executives.
Between 2013 and 2015, these training workshops were held on a quarterly basis in collaboration with Enterprise Creative, Lagos – a co-working space and capacity-building hub for creative entrepreneurs. Linda continues to train NGO staff in:
- grant writing
- the basics of not-for-profit management
- and strategic planning.
Staff who have benefitted from her workshops include those from W-Tec, LEAP Africa Social Innovators Fellows and from the National House of Assembly.
Prior to setting up TSDS, Linda worked for Pro-Natura International, Nigeria (PNI) – an NGO working on sustainable community development issues across the Niger-Delta region of Nigeria and the South-Western states. Here she wrote proposals and co-implemented projects for the EU, the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Refugee Action UK.
Linda has a bachelors in International Studies from the American University, Washington DC, US, and a masters in International Studies and Diplomacy from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), London, UK.
