Funlola Osinupebi is an energy specialist – with more than five years of experience in infrastructure development strategy – and a Technical Assistant in the Office of the Vice President of Nigeria.
She supports the Vice President’s team with vital energy analysis and policy recommendations, based on her in-depth knowledge of the power sector. She has a passion for evidence-based policy solutions that directly impact the Nigerian people.
Funlola also supports the management of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA). She analyses data gathered from rural dwellers, ensuring their energy needs are suitably captured and included in policy design, and that policy decisions are fit for purpose. To this end, her work has been vital in supporting the design of:
- the Energising Education programme, which seeks to power Nigerian Universities
- and the Energising Economies programme, which seeks to power Nigerian Economic hubs.
Prior to her current roles, Funlola was a Programme Officer at the Nigerian Infrastructure Advisory Facility (NIAF). She co-ordinated policy implementation delivery, while ensuring all projects funded by donors had value for money to the Nigerian people.
Funlola has an masters in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University, USA and a bachelors in Economics from Wellesley College USA.
