Brian Benoit

Brian Benoit

Brian Benoit is the Chief Executive Officer of the Benoit Academy of Steel Pan, author of the Legends of Panderica storybook and an Alumnus Professional Fellow of the United States Department of State Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI).

Brian has won various awards for developing the steel pan industry. He is involved in entrepreneurship with a focus on the music business and steel pans.

He holds:

  • a Certificate in Music Business from the Berklee College of Music
  • a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from the Ministry of Labour in collaboration with the College of Science Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago (COSTAATT)
  • and a Certificate in Project Management from the university of Adelaide.

Brian has pioneered the course, Pantrepreneurship, which is a programme to educate steel pan musicians on the business of steel pan both locally, regionally and internationally.

He has travelled to various parts of the United States and Peru promoting and participating in entrepreneurship. 

As a mentor, he can offer small business consulting, assisting individuals with business training and business plan development. He can also help with writing books and short stories, and using theatrical arts to help in youth development.
