Akash Nahar is the Director and Co-Founder of YWC Social Ventures and has over a decade in the field of finance.
He was the youngest Vice President at Morgan Stanley, India, before which he worked with American Express Bank. Over the last 15 years he has advised some of the wealthiest Fortune 100 Families, with investible surplus in excess of $1 billion.
Besides banking, Akash is an untiring proponent of impact investments, which seek to infuse businesses with an ethos that puts people and planet alongside profits.
He envisions a world where the benefits of globalisation are more widely shared and the social, economic, environmental challenges of the world are met collectively. He is currently working on launching Asia's largest development impact bond for education development.
He holds a Masters of Public Administration from London School of Economics, is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Consultant for UNICEF.
