Abimbola Oligbinde

Abimbola Oligbinde is a brand management and marketing communications consultant with over nine years experience in branding, marketing, public relations (PR) and journalism.

In 2015, she established Melethsey Media Ltd, a brand and marketing firm that creates access to markets for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through tailor-made promotional solutions. That same year, she became a fellow of the Obama Young African Leaders Initiative Regional Leadership Centre (YALI RLC).

In 2016, her company, Melethsey Media Ltd was selected among the best 1,000 startups with potential to transform Africa by Tony Elumelu Foundation.

Abimbola is passionate about empowering small businesses because she believes they are the drivers of the economy. She started the Melethsey SME Series in 2016 to develop the capacities of small business owners through training on business management.

Abimbola is the Convener of the Youthpreneur Business Summit – an annual gathering of young entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 37 that focuses on business, its limitations, opportunities and potential in Nigeria.

The summit birthed Youthpreneur Business Development Network – a non-profit organisation founded by some young entrepreneurs to empower entrepreneurs between 18 and 37 years through mentoring, trainings, and funding. The organisation also lobbies government to create a business-enabling environment.
