Sarah Pinch

Sarah Pinch is an experienced corporate communications and marketing expert. She started her career as a journalist for the BBC and after 11 years left in 2000 to work in public relations (PR). Her experience covers the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. 

In 2011 Sarah won the inaugural Institute of Directors and Chartered Institute of Public Relations PR Director of the Year award. This recognised her work with the board at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, where she had worked as Head of Communications for five years. 

Her experience also includes working with an international development agency, a regional children’s charity and FirstGroup plc a transport provider in the UK. 

Sarah has a reputation for delivering change. Each opportunity she has had in corporate communications has been a new role, focused on building teams and delivering a paradigm shift in how organisations communicate internally and externally.

She is Managing Director of Pinch Point Communications – an agency which provides strategic communications and PR consultancy services, media training and mentoring for senior executives.

Sarah is President of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, of which she is also a Fellow, a Member of the Institute of Directors, and a Non-Executive Director of the Health and Safety Executive.
