Nnaemeka Ikegwuonu

Nnaemeka Ikegwuonu is a farmer, innovator, and social entrepreneur. He is also the Executive Director of Smallholders Foundation and Chief Executive Officer of ColdHubs Ltd.

Nnaemeka founded Smallholders Foundation in 2003 at the age of 21. The organisation informs, educates and improves the livelihood of rural small farmers, using educational radio programmes and leading field practical demonstrations.

The organisation has trained 4,500 young Nigerians in agriculture and environmental management, establishing 14 youth-owned farms.

His recently launched for-profit company, ColdHubs Ltd assembles and installs solar powered walk-in cold rooms that provide off-grid storage and preservation for perishable foods 24 hours a day, in off-grid markets and farms.

Nnaemeka is a multi-award winning social entrepreneur who has been recognised worldwide with 24 local and international awards. His work has been supported by many organisations including:
