Mustard Seed Communities

Mustard Seed Communities (MSC) was founded in 1978 by Trinidadian born Roman Catholic Priest Monsignor Gregory Ramkissoon in the inner-city community of Mona Commons in Kingston, Jamaica.

The establishment of the charity was in response to the gross mistreatment of some of Jamaica’s most vulnerable – the physically and mentally challenged – which was further compounded by poverty.

Today MSC serves over 500 children, young adults and families who belong to the most vulnerable groups in Jamaican society. This includes children and young adults with disabilities, children affected by HIV/AIDS and teen mothers along with their babies.

MSC Jamaica also manages a number of community outreach programs to combat poverty and provide education to local populations.
