Luisa Tuilau is a Queen's Young Leader who studied Law at the University of the South Pacific.
While there, she co-founded Youngsolwara – a group of activists who campaign against sea-bed mining and human rights abuses in West Papua, and who advocate for social justice and action on climate change.
Youngsolwara means "One Ocean". The group come from all round the Pacific and use arts, dance, poetry and music to get their message across.
In 2016, Luisa's dedication and hard work was acknowledged when she won the Queen’s Young Leaders Award.
Luisa is also a member and co-founder of the Pasifika Queen’s Young Leaders, which was established to help people in the South Pacific prepare for climate change.
