Kiiza Saddam Hussein

Born in 1991 in Uganda, Kiiza Saddam Hussein is a lawyer by profession and a highly commended runners-up Queen’s Young Leader Award winner.

He has established a career in human rights and climate change activism, serving as the Programs Manager at the Uganda Youth Society for Human Rights – a nonprofit organisation based in Uganda.

Kizza strongly believes in the values of democracy and gender equality and throughout his life, has advocated for the rights of women, girls and young people.

He leads a project called “Young African Leaders Talk and Action on Climate Change” that seeks to address the negative impact of climate change in Uganda. He has written about this for Leading Change, outlining the devastating effects of climate change in his home country and what he, and other Queen's Young Leaders around the world, are doing to address the problem.
