Farai Mubaiwa is an intersectional African feminist, a changemaker and the Co-founder of Africa Matters Initiative. She is passionate about youth development, women’s empowerment and social entrepreneurship.
Africa Matters Initiative is a youth-led organisation dedicated to creating spaces for African expression and robust dialogue for Africa to matter to Africans. The organisation has received numerous international recognitions and awards.
She holds two bachelors degrees – in Management Accounting and in Accounting – both from Stellenbosch University. She is currently pursuing her masters at King’s College London in the Political Economy of Emerging Markets. Prior to her masters, she was an analyst for Deloitte South Africa Strategy and Operations Consulting.
Farai is a 2017 Queen's Young Leader and a South African ambassador for the One Young World Youth Summit. She is also a First Rand Foundation scholarship receipt, an Abe Bailey scholar, a TEDx speaker, and a 2018 recipient of the King’s College London Global Leadership Award.
