Christelle Kwizera is a Rwandan Sexual Reproductive Health Right (SRHR) activist and founder of Water Access Rwanda (WARwanda), a social enterprise that offers affordable, durable and simple water solutions to Rwandans and neighbouring countries.
A graduate of Oklahoma Christian University, Christelle is also the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Emerging Leaders and Entrepreneurs of Rwanda, a platform for youth innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship. The organisation seeks to inspire and motivate young people to be job creative. Christelle has equally served as the Chief Creative Officer of Isaro Foundation and represented Rwandan youth at several international conferences as a panellist and speaker.
In 2014, Christelle was recognised for her leadership skills by Moremi Initiative Leadership Empowerment and Development (MILEAD) Fellowship, a prestigious fellowship awarded to fewer than 30 African young women yearly. The following year, she won the Resolution Fellowship of the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U), to provide sexual and reproductive health services in Kigali, Rwanda.
