Angelique Pouponneau is a Climate Change Fellow at the Alliance of Small Island States in New York, US, and an Adviser to the Seychelles United Nations (UN) Mission.
She is also an Associate of the Island Rights Initiative – a not-for-profit thinktank and consultancy that aims to bring innovative thinking on international human rights policy, law and practice to support small island communities and their governments.
Angelique co-founded a non-governmental organisation, the SIDS Youth AIMS Hub, Seychelles, which focuses on climate change and sustainable development at grassroots level.
She currently holds the position of Vice-Chairperson for inclusion and engagement of the Commonwealth Youth Council and is currently pursuing an LLM in Environmental Law.
Angelique is a 2016 Queen's Young Leader.
