Amelia Kami works to empower women in the Pacific Islands.
As a musician, she shares a positive message to women about their rights through her music. She recently wrote a song for an anti-logging campaign in Papua New Guinea on the importance of unity and the power that exists in the people.
Following the death of her sister to cancer, Amelia and her family created a fund for children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases, which is supported by an annual sponsored walks called Walk On Walk Strong (WOWS) in Tonga and Fiji.
Amelia also founded the WOWS Kids Fiji organisation, which cares for more than 30 sick children, and provides scholarships for students at the Queen Salote College in Tonga.
Amelia is a 2018 Queen's Young Leaders Award Runner Up.
