Jade Jackman: #LCJB17 winner, Canada and Europe

Jade Jackman is a film maker and multi-media journalist who takes a creative approach to contemporary political issues.

She has worked for a mix of media platforms including Refinery29, i-D magazine, Dazed & Confused and the Index on Censorship.

In February 2017, i-D magazine described Jade as "issuing a rallying cry to artists looking for new ways to engage a news-numbed audience", when it published her article and film on Yarlswood Detention Centre.

For her dedication to social justice issues, she has been featured in the “Change your world” section of ASOS Magazine and called an “agenda setting filmmaker” by Dazed & Confused.

Jade’s work has been shown at the British Film Institute, Institute of Contemporary Arts and the Tate Gallery in London. It has been recognised through awards from One World Media, Just So and Sheffield DocFest.
