Oluwabusayomi Sotunde, Assistant editor and writer

Oluwabusayomi is a Nigerian journalist with a keen interest in using communication tools to develop positive change.

As a freelance journalist she has covered social-economic issues in Africa for different Africa-focused news outlets. These include Development Diaries, Celebrating Progress Africa, Ventures Africa and Rural Reporters – a news platform with in-depth coverage of under-reported issues in rural communities in Nigeria and across Africa.

Oluwabusayomi was recently selected by the International Women’s Media Foundation to report on the rural economy and development in Tanzania. She has also worked as a research consultant and is currently the Team Development and Managing Editor of Rural Reporters.

For Leading Change she has written an article about the Ugandan social enterprise, Barefoot Law.
